elcome to the website of the Bloomington Community Band from Bloomington, Indiana.  We are an all-adult volunteer concert band with membership ranging from 40 to 60 in number, and 18 to 90 years in age.
A community band has existed (with interruptions) since the 19th century. Our current incarnation formally began in 1978 with sponsorship from the Bloomington JayCees, and a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission.  More of the band's history can be found here.

We play an average of 20 concerts per year at many civic events and public gatherings in Monroe County and the surrounding areas.   We frequently perform at retirement communities and nursing homes in the Bloomington area.
