   Publicity Coordinator : Harriet Castrataro

          As publicity coordinator, Harriet publicizes all concerts and rehearsal information of the band.

          She has been in the band for eight years and has lived in Bloomington for thirty.  Harriet works at Indiana University and is married to James.  They have one son who is a computer science student at IU.  Her interests include cooking, theater, and jazz.

          Harriet plays flute in the band.

   Secretary/Treasurer : Phyllis Solnzeff

          Phyllis, as secretary and treasurer, has the task of recording all meetings of the board and of the full membership.  She collects all monies and disburses it when approved by the board.  She prepares the financial records.

          Phyllis has been with the band for twenty-one years; and, she has been in Bloomington since her sophomore year in high school.  She works at G.E.

          Phyllis plays tenor saxophone in the band.

   Property Manager : Phil Stradling

          Phil brings the bass drum, director’s stand, and the clothes pins to rehearsals and concerts.

          He has been with the band for twenty-two years.  For thirty-two years, Phil operated the Ideal Stamp Company.  Phil developed an interest in the organ and took organ lessons at the Methodist Church in 1957. He is currently associated with the American Theatre Organ Society.

          Phil plays alto saxophone in the band.

Article 2.

Gary Wiggins honored at IU’s Founders Day.

          On March 5, 2000 Gary Wiggins was one of thirteen professors and two associate instructors from five campuses to be honored for their outstanding teaching, research or service to the university.  He was one of three to be awarded the W. Pinnell Award for Outstanding Service.  Gary is head of the Chemistry Library and director of the Chemical Information Center.

          Donna Berg, information scientist at Los Alamos National Research Library said, “Gary has been the leader in chemical information.”

          Gary plays trombone in the band.
