   Development Officer: Gerry Stout

Gerry prepares the annual budget including planned income and expenditures, and coordinates fundraising activities.

He has played in the band approximately 15 years and has resided in Bloomington since 1949.  Originally from Paoli, Indiana, Gerry came to Bloomington when he started working for Indiana University.  After working in the Electronics Department for forty years, he retired in 1989.

Gerry came from a musical family. His father organized a “Little German Band”.  Presently Gerry is busy singing with the Bloomington Chamber Singers, the Carousel Quartet and the church choir.  Besides musical endeavors, he enjoys photography, electronics, mechanics, reading and writing.

Gerry plays clarinet in the band.

   Conductor: Tim Moore

No responsibilities are listed in the by-laws.

Tim has been a member of the band for 20 years. He has been in Bloomington since 1980 due to a job transfer.  Tim is currently an area sales manager for a “presentation technology company”; previously he taught instrumental music in Danville, Indiana and Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.

Tim’s wife, Deb, plays flute in the band.  They enjoy traveling—having visited places like Bahamas, Grand Cayman, and British West Indies.

They have selected Hawaii as their next trip.

Prior to being conductor, Tim played saxophone in the band.

   Historian: Betty McDonald

Betty’s responsibility is “to collect concert programs and publicity pertaining to the Band” and to organize it into an orderly file system.

Betty has retired from the band due to illnesses.  She played the bass drum for many years, but had to give it up when she became ill.  One can see her occasionally at musical events presented by the School of Music at Indiana University.
