   Personnel Manager : Betty Treisback

          “The Personnel Manager shall keep a record of attendance at concerts and rehearsals, and maintain an up-to-date list of active members and their status as previously described, and distribute this list to Band members at least two times per year.”

          Betty as the Personnel Manager has the daunting task of keeping up with the ebb and flow of musicians.  Ms. Treisback has been with the band approximately 20 years.  The BCB is not the only band attracting Betty’s interest.  She plays baritone with the Bloomington Brass Band, a 15-year member; and, she participates with the Bedford summer band.  She has been with the Bedford community band for eight years.  Betty truly enjoys performing.

          Ms. Treisback arrived in Bloomington 34 years ago coming from Little Rock, Arkansas.  Betty has two sons and one daughter. Each one learned to play an instrument or two.  It was evenly distributed between brass and strings.  One son took up the violin and the tuba.  The other son learned to play the trombone, and her daughter took up the cello.  That’s quite a family of musicians.

          Betty is a retired teacher from the Monroe County school system.  She taught business education at Unionville, Bloomington North and Bloomington South.  Her other interests are needlework like crocheting, tatting, cross stitch and sewing, and ceramics.

          At one time, Betty was working full time, and going to college at the same time as her three children were in the public school system.  Wow!

          Betty plays the french horn in the band.
