NEW BOARD BEGINS JANUARY 1:
Due to the revision of the Constitution/Bylaws in the fall of 2002, a new slate of candidates for the Board was approved late 2002. Those voted in for a 2-year term were: Lloyd Orr, Dick Hiatt, Phyllis Solnzeff, Betty Treisback, and Diana Harwood. Those voted in for a 1-year term were: Doug Davis, Janice Lorenz, Alissa Quick. Gary Wiggins and Gerry Stout continue their 2-year terms.
Next election will be the fall of 2003.
PROFILE: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: DR. JOE CAR
Dr. Car moved to Owen County eight years ago from Chicago. He originally grew up in New Jersey, attending college and medical school in Pennsylvania. His interest in music influenced his move to the Midwest where he pursued his vocation and his avocation. Living in Lincoln Park for 22 years, he was able to attend his favorite orchestra, the Chicago Symphony. While in the Chicago area, he was a member of and associate conductor of the Wilmette Concert Band along with being a member and guest conductor with the North Side Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Dr. Car resides in Spencer and is an associate conductor of the Veterans Administration National Medical Music Group, Washington, D.C. In the BCB along with being the associate director, he plays the trumpet.
His only other hobby is fly fishing, especially for steelhead and salmon in Alaska or British Columbia.

Don Talbott continues as the band’s web designer and maintenance person. If you have any ideas, please see Don. Don plays the tuba.
CONCERTS:
A concert schedule with firm dates has been put on the website. There are a few dates that Doug is still working on; these dates will be added as soon as everything has been confirmed.
The FIRST concert is May 3rd in Orleans.
BOARD MEETINGS:
The Board of Directors meets every month unless there is no business. If you have concerns, questions and/or suggestions, please talk to any one on the Board. The next meeting is April 21st. There will be no meeting this month.
